Westmoreland County Unveils Window to Westmoreland -- the County's
New Bi-Weekly Newsletter
Posted 08-29-2002
Westmoreland County Commissioner Tom Balya today announced the availability of the
county's new on-line newsletter, Window to Westmoreland.
"Westmoreland County has a great story
to tell, and now we have a regular medium to do so," Balya said. "This
newsletter is part of our ongoing efforts to better inform Westmoreland County residents
about the activities and services of their government and engage them in the process. We
look forward to making Window to Westmoreland essential reading for all county
residents."
Window to Westmoreland is a
bi-weekly update on the workings of Westmoreland County government available on-line
through the county's web site. The newsletter features articles from every department of
county government, as well as information from county elected offices and the various
boards and authorities, highlighting the functions and accomplishments of Westmoreland
County government.
"A countywide newsletter has been a
long time coming and will give residents an on-line 'one-stop-shop' for the latest
information about county government," Balya said. "Window to Westmoreland
is part of the new look to the county's web site and the first of many future
enhancements. We also encourage residents to provide us with their feedback to
improve the newsletter and the web site in general."
The inaugural August 30 edition will be
followed by issues every other Friday. Previous issues will remain on-line and accessible
to users.
Window to Westmoreland is available
through the Westmoreland County home page at www.co.westmoreland.pa.us. Readers can offer their comments or suggestions
