Additional Public Demonstrations Scheduled for New Voting Machines --
Demos also available every day at the County
Elections Bureau, beginning April 17

The Westmoreland County Board of Commissioners today announced
additional public demonstrations of the county's new electronic voting
machines that will be used in the spring primary election.
The following new events are
all free and open to the public:

April 14, Crabtree
-- Crabtree Volunteer Fire Department, Latrobe-Crabtree Road (4:30
p.m. - 6:30 p.m.)

April 20, Derry --
Derry Township Municipal Building, 5321 Route 982 (2:00 p.m. - 4:00
p.m.)

April 25, Youngwood
-- Youngwood Borough Building, 17 South Sixth Street (9:00 a.m. -
1:00 p.m.)

April 27, Smithton
-- Smithton Municipal Building, 615 Center Street (6:30 p.m. - 8:30
p.m.)

May 3, Hempfield
Township -- The Arc of Westmoreland, 316 Donohoe Road (10:00 a.m. -
2:00 p.m.)

May 6, Hempfield
Township -- Westmoreland Mall, U.S. Route 30 East (11:00 a.m. - 3:00
p.m.)

May 8, Unity
Township -- Unity Township Municipal Building, 154 Beatty County
Road (9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon)

These newest
additions bring the total number of public demonstration events
throughout the county to 27. Other events may still be added. For

An on-line demo is also available.
Residents without
computer access should contact the Commissioners office at
724.830.3106 to find the nearest location.
Also, beginning April
17 until May 11, voting machine demonstrations will be available
Monday through Friday in the Elections Bureau office on the first
floor of the County Courthouse, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and
3:30 p.m.
The primary election
is Tuesday, May 16. |
