7/28/05 - The Commissioners present the Adult Winter Reading Grand Prize to Stephanie Yawtiz of Delmont. The Adult Winter Reading Program, sponsored by Westmoreland County Federated Library System, was offered at libraries throughout the county and was made possible due to funds allocated by the commissioners.

7/24/05 - Tom joins Governor Rendell and local legislative and economic development leaders in presenting Levin Furniture with a $1.9 million state grant to help preserve jobs in the area.

7/1/05 - Tom enjoys the annual Arts and Heritage Festival with daughters Angela (center) and Maria, who volunteered at the event.
